We would like to introduce you to Molly. Molly Roo is what we like to call her because she hops like a kangaroo in our yard. Molly came to us completely terrified. Within the first hour of being here she jumped our fence and ended up in the Walmart yard east of our shelter. Luckily, this is fenced in and after about an hour we were able to catch her.
We have been showing Molly love and telling her it is going to be ok. Molly is very sweet and has never shown one sign of aggression. We haven’t even heard her bark yet. Molly’s body language can be intimidating though and she has very intense eye contact. New situations are scary to Molly and outside is even scarier to her. Over the past month we have spent hours upon hours sitting in the boarding room just letting her know she is safe. She will now wag her tail, play with a toy and actually relax when in the boarding room with Nathan and Julie.
Molly is very sweet and loves to give kisses. She is a work in progress though when it comes to feeling comfortable with new people and situations. Again, she has shown no aggression. No barking, no growling, nothing.
She will need a patient adopter and a tall fence or taken out on leash at all times because she is a flight risk. She has so much potential and really has the sweetest personality that we feel will continue to bloom over time.
Molly gets along with dogs and cats. She is a little awkward, and just really doesn’t know how to be a dog. She appears to have had puppies in the past and her behaviors are very similar to a puppy mill dog. We don’t know Molly’s past, but we want to make sure her future is what she deserves and that is only the best.
