Meet Bridget & Breezy… our former “wedding crashers” who apparently decided the reception was great, but staying at the shelter long term was not part of the plan. Unfortunately, no one ever came to claim these girls, so now they’re officially searching for forever homes of their own.

Bridget is a sweet girl who can be a little timid at first, but she warms up very quickly once she knows she’s safe. She absolutely loves attention, being near her people, and has a playful side that starts to shine once she settles in.

The girls came in together and we believe they may be sisters, but from our observations it seems Breezy tends to boss Bridget around a little too much. Because of that, we truly feel both girls would flourish in separate homes where they can build confidence and fully shine on their own.

They haven’t reacted to the dogs at our shelter, but as always, a meet and greet with your dog will be required. We were told they have a pretty high prey drive, so cats and chickens are likely a no-go for these girls.

They appear to be younger — possibly around 2 years old — and they’ll both be heading to the vet this week to be spayed, so we should get a better age estimate then. Breed-wise? Your guess is probably as good as ours. We’re thinking maybe Aussie, Border Collie, maybe a sprinkle of Lab… and a whole lot of sweetness and cuteness mixed in.

These girls love attention and want to be close to their people. Because of the way they ended up at the shelter, a fenced yard or another reliable way to keep them safely contained will be very important.
