Beethoven would like everyone to know that despite several meet and greets, he is STILL somehow unemployed as a full-time family dog. Frankly, he finds this shocking.
Beethoven is a 2 year old deaf pit mix who continues to be SO close to finding his forever family. Every meet and greet just confirms what we already knew… this dog is ridiculously lovable.
Things Beethoven enjoys:
• Meeting new people with the enthusiasm of someone winning the lottery
• Tug of war
• Chasing balls
• More balls
• Kids
• Existing at full volume until he burns off some excitement
Beethoven has done AMAZING with everyone he has met. He loves people so much that sometimes his body simply cannot contain his excitement, which means he may jump up to personally welcome you to the Beethoven Fan Club. The good news? Once he gets his energy out, he settles down nicely and just enjoys hanging out with his people.
He absolutely adored the kids he met and happily let them take toys right out of his mouth. However, during one meet and greet, Beethoven was a little too fascinated with the 7 month old baby. Not in a mean way at all… more in a “WAIT… is that a brand new squeaky toy?!” kind of way. Because of this, we think Beethoven would do best with kids around 8+ who can fully appreciate his goofy play style.
He also did wonderful with the female dog he met.
Poor Beethoven keeps getting this close to adoption and then one tiny detail makes it not quite the right fit. Nobody’s fault. He is truly SUCH a good dog. He just needs a family who understands that he comes with a big personality, a big head, and approximately zero understanding of personal space.
Somewhere out there is a home looking for a goofy, loving, toy-obsessed best friend. Beethoven is waiting patiently… well, as patiently as Beethoven can.
