This boy is still waiting, over a year, for a responsible adopter to show him what being loved in a home is all about. He came to us completely emaciated on the verge of death. He was tossed on the side of the road in a crate like a piece of garbage! Even with being let down by his humans he fought to survive and Floyd is now a spoiled, happy boy! He will need someone who can provide him structure and consistent training. He will need you to come meet him several times and he definitely prefers the ladies over the men. Frank is an estimated 7-8 year old Husky/Rot/and maybe some heeler thrown in there too. He is a sweet boy! He gets along with other dogs in an outside environment. He is very food motivated to the point where you would want to feed all other animals away from and not attempt to take food from him. Did not react to our cats in the shelter. Frank is a stubborn, set in his ways boy who needs to be an outside dog with lots of freedom. He does not like to be told no, does like going on walks, and has a happy personality so has the potential to be a great buddy in the right environment. No small children. PUPDATE: The puppies are 6 weeks old! They had their first set of vaccines today and are getting extremely active! We did a DNA test on Rooster and his results are below! We will be adopting these little guys out in a couple weeks. If you are interested you will need to put in an application for review.
Appointments will only be made if your application is approved.
With the Aussie/Heeler breeds please research their needs! They won’t do well in apartments. They will need stimulation and exercise. They will need training, time and dedication.
