Say hello to Duke formerly known as Black Jack. He was one of Nora’s puppies that was born here at the shelter on September 25, 2023. He is a 11 month old Boxer mix. He is a big boy and will be an even bigger dog when full grown. He was returned for being too rough with the other dogs in the home. His momma, Nora, has a tendency to over correct dogs, and it sounds like he got this trait from her as well. He loves people. He lived with kids and did great. Housebroken. Unsure about cats. This boy is way too young to be back at the shelter so if you would like to meet him please stop by the shelter soon!

Hello my name is Duncan and I am a one and a half year old Pit/Husky/Boxer and some Rottweiler thrown in the mix too! I am a sweet boy who has been returned to the shelter twice now. First time because my owners were moving and this time because I showed some stranger and dog reactivity. Here at the shelter the staff has not witnessed this. I can be shy around some strangers when in the outside world but warm up quickly. I lived with another dog in both my previous homes. I am really needing someone who has the time and dedication to socialize me. I want to please and really want a forever home that will stick. I can not go to an apartment because I don't like to be kenneled and will hurt myself trying to get out of it. This pretty girl is Echo. Echo is a 2-3 year old husky mix. She is so sweet and needs an adopter experienced with the husky breed. Even though she is a mix she read the husky handbook from front to back. She would do great with a fence because she loves to explore. Good on leash. She likes toys and running in the yard. She is a little scared of new things, and needs an adopter who has the time to spend with her and build her confidence. She is housebroken. She does not react to the dogs in the shelter. This handsome boy is Eddie. Eddie is an estimated 2-3 year old heeler mix. Eddie is a friendly guy and absolutely loves to run in the yard and snow. So much so we have a hard time catching him sometimes to come back inside. Eddie likes to go on walks and has the most handsome, proud walk. He really is a neat dog with a fun personality. He has not reacted to our dogs but a meet and greet would be required. He does not react to the cats in the shelter. He keeps his kennel clean.
