Happy Tails

THANK YOU

Our staff and volunteers want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who has adopted a furry friend from us! Our adoption numbers have hit an all time high! We couldn’t have done it without those of you who have made the choice to change a life forever and give a shelter animal their much deserved forever home.

Adopted
Bo

Bo is a senior German Shepherd Mix looking for a new forever home after his previous owner passed away unexpectantly. Bo is estimated around ten years old, low energy, and would like a place where he can lounge around with you. He is a little shy but warms up very quickly. He had a dental and had a few teeth extractions so will need a softer diet and with his age his hips are a little sore and he is currently on a hip/joint supplement. Xrays were performed and they did not note any structural abnormalities. If you would like to meet Bo please call the shelter for an appointment or fill out a dog application.

Adopted
Bo

This little guy, Bo, has had a tough time finding the right adopter. He came to us two years ago as a puppy. Bo and his brother Rocky were taken from their owner due to neglect. If you follow us you might remember Rocky was eating rocks due to starvation and one got stuck in his digestive track and had to be surgically removed. Bo has been adopted out twice and returned both times through no fault of his own. With that being said Bo does need a patient adopter. He had a ton of energy. An active person who likes walks would be great for Bo. He gets along with other dogs, but he would need fed separately due to his past. Would most likely chase a cat. Would knock small children down and is nippy when excited. He really does want to please and with time, patience and understanding will make someone a wonderful companion! If you are willing to take a chance on this guy stop by soon!

Bo

This poor guy cannot catch a break. Bo came to us as a puppy, with his brother Rocky, back in 2020. Sadly, he has been in three different homes since. The first two times he was returned were through no fault of his own, and this time he got a little too rambunctious and nipped the younger son. We were told he got along fine with the older son and the family enjoyed him a lot. With that being said, Bo will need no kids or older kids in his home. He likes other dogs, but will need to be fed separately. He was starved as a puppy so he does not like to share his food. Bo is a wonderful dog, who likes to play, go on walks, go on car rides, and would make a great side kick for somebody. If you would like to meet Bo Bo, as we lovingly call him, please fill out a dog application or stop by the shelter soon.

Bobbi

Say hello to Bobbi! Bobbi was found on the side of the road after being hit by a car. Due to her injuries, her tail was amputated. That has not slowed her down one bit though! She loves to play, and LOVES to snuggle. She doesn't mind other animals but she can be rough when she plays with other cats.

Bobbie

Bobbie is a friendly male heeler who will be two years on June 8th. He came in with Bella and lived on a farm previously. They are not bonded but if you are looking for a pair they get along great. He worked livestock, but also would run off and be spotted on the highway. Bobbie will be neutered and brought up to date on all vaccines before adoption. If you would like to meet him please fill out a dog application from our website, or call the shelter for an appointment.

Bodie

This sweet boy is Bodie! Bodie is pretty independent and most of the time has his nose to the ground. Would make a great hunting dog. Bodie doesn’t react to our other dogs and when he was inside the shelter he did not pay much attention to the cats. He is an active guy, and is always on the go so he will need a fence, or some way to contain him, because his nose could get him in trouble. He still needs to be neutered and by his teeth we think he is a little older. Possibly 5-7 years. We will let the vet guess when he gets neutered on May 3rd. If you would like to meet Bodie stop by the shelter soon!

Bonnie
Bonnie the bulldog is definitely a staff favorite at the shelter. Our employee, Grant, is definitely her favorite person! Bonnie is ready for her forever home. She had been spayed and vaccinated. She also had mass cell tumors removed and this is her note from the vet:
Bonnie had mast cell tumors removed. These tumors can be low grade and with removal, some never come back. Her prognosis is good at this point. Bulldogs are very prone to these types of tumors. It is important that her new home understands that she will need continued monitoring for more growths that could occur.
Bonnie is estimated between 6-8 years old. She is extremely friendly! Loves people and food. She has been around the cats with no problems. She can be dog selective and we have seen her react when a dog reacts first. A meet and greet with your dog will be required.
She does have dry eyes and will need eye drops for life. Please research the breed and their health care needs especially with Bonnie being a senior bulldog.
She’s a lovely dog who would love a recliner or couch of her very own! Please fill out a dog application from our website for review if you would like to learn more about Bon-Bon!

Bonnie

Bonnie is a spayed 2-3 year old girl looking for her forever home! We think Bonnie would do best as a barn kitty, as she has been returned twice for not using her litter pan. She is a laid back girl.

Bookie

Bookie is an absolute sweetheart. She was brought to our shelter in November with her puppies. All of her puppies have found their forever homes and now it is her turn! She is very loving, loves attention and has lower energy. She did previously live with dogs but a meet and greet would be required due to her reacting to some dogs in the shelter. Come meet her soon at Kiya Koda!!
